Monate Casting Directors & Services are Talent Loving Casting Directors with studios in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa. We cast talent for film, television, commercials, theatre and corporate projects for the local and international markets.
We pride ourselves in providing our clients with effortless casting and options who are just right. Our process is simple, yet effective: we do not rest until we have brought a project to life with the perfect talent. This is done through traditional studio casting, and where needed, street-casting journeys into retirement villages, high schools, township & community theatre groups and beyond. We aim to grow with each project we undertake, ensuring that our knowledge base widens in our efforts to become the most resourceful casting directors in the country.
Monate Casting Directors are 100% black owned and boast level 1 BEE contribution status.

Monate Casting Directors does not own or operate an agency – if you are a professional and trained actor looking for representation, please look at agencies who are members of The PMA (mostly Johannesburg) or SAPAMA (mostly Cape Town). For model agencies, visit NAMA for a countrywide list. We advise all those looking for representation to do their research and meet with at least two – three agents before making an informed decision! And remember, no reputable agency will charge a “registration fee” nor will they promise to get you onto TV; agents can only get you in the door for auditions and castings, it is up to you to work on your craft in order to book work!
